JEM Cable & Fiber is a company of JEM Electronics, Inc. JEM Electronics has been a manufacturer of electro-mechanical assemblies, cable assemblies, wire harness assemblies, and box builds since 1981. Over the years, our focus on customer service, quality product, and continual improvement has allowed us to maintain a steady growth. JEM works with customers in several industries: automotive, telecommunications, military, recreation, consumer electronics, medical, computer, semiconductor, federal government, alternative energy, and other industrial business sectors. In 2001, JEM moved its corporate headquarters to a new 30,000 square foot office and manufacturing facility located in the Forge Industrial Park in Franklin, Massachusetts. To provide additional value to our customers, JEM opened a second manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico in 2001.
JEM recognizes that the control of business and manufacturing processes is a key factor in providing quality products and meeting customers' delivery expectations. As such, we have taken the necessary steps to ensure that both our facilities are certified to the standards of ISO 9001:2008 and TS 16949. JEM is also Medical ISO 13485:2003 certified to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices and related services. In addition, JEM is ITAR registered to engage in the business of manufacturing and exporting defense articles and furnishing defense services. Both facilities have been registered by UL and CSA to manufacture product meeting the UL/CSA safety requirements. JEM also actively practices lean manufacturing to eliminate waste in order to improve the quality of its product while reducing its cost.
